Smaller than I thought, complicated setup process

I have the Nanoleaf Shapes, and when I bought these hexagons I thought they'd be the same size, but these ones are much smaller than what their marketing images made it look. The light is nice, similar to my Nanoleafs but the layout design was painstakingly complicated in comparison. I got them thinking they were a cheaper option, but you definitely get what you pay for. The way the app figures out the lay out of the hexas was all manual instead of automatic detection, and the linkers were long and tedious. The app forces me to sign up for an account and give all my personal info before allowing me to continue controlling my lights. It's a lot thicker as well than my nanoleafs so kind of a clunky feel. I was also disappointed to find out that there's not really a lot of scenes options for downloading. A lot of it was just assumptions that I had because of my nanoleafs experience, but I think for something at this price tag those should be basic features. I read a lot of reviews online saying these were better that's why i got them, but now I feel like these were paid reviews because the experience is definitely not as great. I don't think I'll be getting more of these, I'll probably take my money and get the new nanoleaf lines since the quality at least and features are just better. I don't even know if this review is going to show up since it's not a high rating, but in case it does I hope it helps to give people some insight on this purchase.

Here it is the HEXA once I heard they were going after the competition with the Govee version I was excited to see the govee version of the hexa lights I have to say kinda pricey ut you get what you pay for period.... GOGOVEE in my opinion ya'll hit another 1 with these.

Don't buy for your wall's safety

I bought these lights and finally got around to putting them up. Immediately ran into issue after issue. The tutorial was completely wrong on how to connect them together, the app was telling me the wrong spots to plug them into, leading me to have to ignore the app myself, bought a 10 pack and 5 literally don't work. Finally, after trying to take ONE off the wall using the method provided of pulling the safety tab until it came off, it ripped a huge 3x2 inch chunk off my wall. Complete waste of money and now I can't take them down because they will rip my wall apart. 2/10 since the first 5 lights at least turned on during calibration.

Better Than an RGB Desk Mat!

My phone sadly do not do these lights justice. You can adjust the brightness and density and even the speed of many if the animations. My image makes the lights seem neon, which you can create that aesthetic if you want to, but they're a lot denser in person. I've paired these with my other Govee lights so that I can set up a room-wide theme. I will share the same video I did for my review of the Glide panels, so that you can get an idea of how all of my lights look together. The bookshelves have the RGBIC light strips that come with the covers, but I'm not using the covers for my setup. I used the 10 ft rope for my 55 by 24 inch desk. It won't wrap entirely around the desk, but it's enough to still light up the wall behind your desk a little.
