A must have with kids and/or pets!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already have a super cheap stick vacuum but wasn’t happy with it so I decided to try this Levoit VortexIQ and am so glad I made the switch! Our house is generally a zoo with two kids and three cats; there are always crumbs and cat hair everywhere and something like this is definitely a necessity.
PROS
Super sleek design: I LOVE how this vacuum looks; it is sooooo elegant (which feels weird to say for a vacuum). I love that it is black because it matches my wet vacuum too!

Quiet, smooth, and well performing: Compared to my off-brand cheap vacuum this one is super quiet and glides really smooth. The wheels are rubberized versus plastic with contributions to this. Additionally, the suction on this vacuum is great; I would normally have to use my old vacuum on the highest setting and I felt like it still would not pick up everything (it would also drain the battery so fast too). This one performs so well even on the low setting!! Additionally, it does really well on hardwood and carpet. It picked up so much cat hair with my first pass on the carpet which surprised me.
Charging: The unit charges while it is hanging on the wall mount that was provided; huge pro!! On the old one, I would have to take the battery pack out and plug it in. I love that I can just mount this back on the wall and it automatically starts charging so that it is fully charged every time I need to use it.
Accessories & features: It comes with two additional accessories, a dusting brush and a telescoping crevice tool. The telescoping crevice tool is nice to have to get into really tight spaces and all of the accessories can be used with and without the long stick so there are many combinations for use. Additionally both of these lock right into the docking station for storage. It also features a dust level indicator so you know when to empty the canister as well as auto and manual settings for suction. I’ve never had a vacuum with so much technology and I love it!
CONS
Bagless vacuum: In general, I hate bagless vacuums. I feel like when you empty them they kick up a lot of dust and they’re always so dirty (inside and out). I will tolerate this because it makes cleaning up after my two toddlers so easy!

Flex button: The joint in the middle of the stick that allows you to clean underneath things can open fairly easily and sometimes accidentally. I think the trick here is to just be careful when handling it that you don’t hit the release button.
Weight: It is a little on the heavy side, the handle and battery pack do have some weight to it compared to my old one. Not a deal breaker but just something to be aware of!

Disappointed.

I will start off by saying that I have two dogs that shed and a house with carpet in some rooms … the canister fills up quickly (I can only do a portion of a room before it fills up) and I’ve had to pull the stuff out with my hands — this I understand since my dogs shed like crazy. The worst part is that recently the vacuum becomes clogged where it’s suppose to enter into the canister leading me to remove the canister and center piece to reach in and try to pull the junk out — this happens when the canister is *empty*. I didn’t have this problem when I first got it, so I’m not sure why this is happening. This has been a huge inconvenience and has led to making more of a mess than what I actually cleaned up. Additionally, after turning off the vacuum it drops dust and debris on the floor and I have clean it up with my VacMop afterwards. I’m going to try the warranty in hopes that it’s something that can be resolved. I’ve tried to use it for other things like cleaning my car — sadly it doesn’t pick up anything — even if I up the power (which doesn’t work all the time either).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No suction

This vacuum has no suction. When I turn it off a pile of dirt falls to the floor. I've had it 2 months and my much cheaper broken eureka vacuum works way better
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Did not meet expectations

This has not been a good choice for us - we have three cats, and their fur easily and regularly jams the vacuum; it is not particularly easy to un-jam it. Further, the fur sticks to the top of the holding cannister and will not simply drop out when emptying the cannister - one must manually clean it. This machine has poor side-suction with the rotating attachment If you just want a vacuum for quick, light duty, this will work. On the plus side, the battery stays charged long enough to get a lot done. It is reasonably lightweight. It adjusts well to going from thick carpet to bare floor.

Best vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is hands down the best vacuum I’ve owned. My husband loves it as well. It’s lightweight, supppppeerr easy to put together and has great features.
It reaches hard to get places and it can be a little hand held vacuum that’s perfect for cleaning your car. It also has just as great suction capabilities as a regular vacuum. I really do love this vacuum and will never go back to a basic one. Also I don’t think I’ll ever sweep again. Works amazing on our hardwood floors as well.

Powerful!

After I use it my floors are spotless. It comes with a few attachments and a holder that you can put on the wall. It’s very powerful. This is by far the best vacuum I have ever owned before!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the past 10 years, I've used the 'animal' stick vacuum from the most well known expensive brand in the industry. This is my basis of comparison for writing this review.
The Levoit stick vacuum is a tad heavier than the Animal but this is not an issue because this thing glides over the floors effortlessly with almost no need to push. It almost feels self propelled. Its easily maneuvered around corners and gets closer to edges than the animal. The suction power seems comparable but Levoit has an 'auto' power setting which adjusts the suction based on the particles it measures with the little sensor in the front. There is also a light on the front which I find useful in darker areas. I really like that the power button doesnt need to be held down, its just one push to start.
On high power the battery life is short, less than 8 minutes. But on Auto, it has lasted over 30 minutes. I really like that the battery is removable so I can charge it separately while storing the stick in a closet. It comes with a charging mount, but I dont have outlets in my closet where its stored.
One key feature is the joint in the stick which bends forward so the vacuum head can go under furniture. When bent it goes about 3 feet under our beds and futon. I never once vacuumed under the bed with the Animal so there was a lot to pick up. The dust bin is also larger than the animal so this means less breaks to empty it.
Overall I am pleased to say that I rate this higher than other highly rated stick vacs on the market. It can do everything the animal does and more.
