Coffee...with a bit of confusion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The coffee drinker in this house was very excited to try the Compact Cold Brew Coffee Maker, but found the instructions to be unclear and somewhat confusing. Hopefully you're not put off by having to hand wash parts...because there are a lot of small parts to hand wash after each use. The lid portion that fits over the "rainmaker" has a poor design, but ultimately does the job in the end. Takes some extra effort, but produces a good cup of coffee.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love how i can make my coffee and then transfer directly to the refrigerator. It’s so simple yet so great! I have no complaints about this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coffee maker offers a convenient way to make cold brew coffee that's cheaper than at the coffee shop. The instructions indicate adding a LOT of coffee grounds, but after a couple of times, I added a little less and it tasted pretty much the same to me. The glass carafe is so cute. Emptying the wet coffee grounds from the container is kind of messy, but it's overall easy to clean afterwards.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I LOVE this compact cold brew maker so much! Oxo is a great brand with awesome kitchen and home products. This compact cold brew maker produces a concentrated container of cold brew that you can doctor up to your tastes (stronger or mellower depending on how much water and creamer etc. you add). It’s easy to use and understand - the container itself is marked for ease of measuring your grounds. The filtration is quick and mess-free and the cute storage vessel is perfectly sized to fit in even the smallest fridges. Here’s the kicker - it’s incredibly easy to clean and store!!! I would 100% recommend to someone looking for a cost effective and sustainable solution to their cold-brew addiction!

Decent Quality; Expensive to Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only used the cold brew coffee maker once and that is due to the sheer cost of buying coffee beans. It takes a TON of coffee beans to make a fairly small amount of cold coffee concentrate. The overall quality of the actual maker itself is decent. The cork lid for the glass carafe is not super tight fitting and I did experience some spillage but that could have also been operator error.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was really excited to receive this product as I thought it would change the way I drink coffee. The first time I used it, it came out of the box already assembled. I didn't take it apart, but I did wash it before using. I read the instructions booklet as well as watched video tutorials on how it's supposed to be done.The first time, it was a success. I let it step for about 24 hours and then had it slow drip into the glass beaker thing. I disassembled the pieces and cleaned them by hand. A few days later I reassembled them, I confirmed with the instructions that the two lines are supposed to align when you assemble it back together. I made sure they aligned perfectly, even though it still felt a tad bit loose. It seemed like it could have been screwed a bit more on, but I thought the instructions knew best.I filled up the base with the coarse coffee grounds and set it in my fridge to steep. I opened my fridge a few hours later and found that coffee water had been leaking out of the device ever since I set it in there and there was pools of coffee water all over my fridge. I had set the product on the top shelf so it dripped down onto everything in the fridge so not only did I have to wash all the food in my fridge, I had to figure out how to remove all the shelves so I could wash those clean too. It was a nightmare.And yet, the coffee I was able to still salvage was pretty good, so I thought I would try this again. This time, I was skeptical. I put the product in a large bowl so if it did leak, it would be caught in the bowl. I carefully assembled all the pieces together again, making sure I placed the filter in just right and that the lines lined up. And sure enough, it leaked. Luckily though, this time the mess was contained inside of the bowl.I've tried the process again a few times after that, at times screwing it a just a tad bit tighter even though the lines didn't match up, thinking that would be my problem. No such luck, it has leaked every single time.While it does make delicious coffee, this doesn't seem worth it to me.

Not very durable

I received this cold brew maker as a gift and it makes excellent coffee. Unfortunately, the carafe is made with very thin and fragile glass. The construction is much thinner than any other cooking/bake wear I've seen made out of glass. The lip of the carafe chipped the first time washing it without being handled roughly.
