Great smoker, I have 1 issue. The top rack needs to be more heavy duty, when moving so.ething from lower to upper, rack starts to bend. Weber can do better.

Great Grill - One Issue

Overall: I've had this grill for about a month and a half and have used it 6 times. Brisket twice, pizzas, burgers. Temperature is good and accurate, plenty hot for searing as a grill. I've been pleased with it. This is a large grill - great for gatherings.
Assembly was good. Compliments to the engineers for making use of the packaging to assist in the assembly. The legs don't quite slide on as far as I would like (maybe 1/8" gap leftover, but it seems to be sturdy when I've rolled it over various bumpy surfaces. The igniter was very difficult to push in, but I was able to manage. There was a couple pieces leftover when I was done, but I figured out later that they gave me an extra igniter and a metal bar that is meant for use with other accessories.
-2 Brisket flats - 6lb flat took about 8 hours on 275. Tasted amazing.
-13lb brisket - 15 hours on 225. Used a whole bag of pellets.
-Pizzas were a little slower that I would prefer, but I should have made them thinner I think to speed up the process. I used 2 baking stones and temp at 500. I'm going to try again.
-Burgers - Cooked perfectly in the range of 450-475.
App: I do like the app - My grill did an update on initial startup, but has had no tech issues since. The phone app works great if you connect the grill to WIFI. Bluetooth works good, but I wanted to control my grill while I'm at church, so WIFI is the way to go. I wish I could schedule a delayed start and/or start it remotely. Also, I wish they would add the ability to schedule changes in temperature (i.e. start on Smokeboost at 200, change to 275 after 2 hours, return to 225 after 4 more hours, etc). I just have to be present to start it and can then control temperature manually from my phone.
Pellets - the hopper fits 1 bag if you fill it from empty (20lbs roughly). I have had no issues with pellets not feeding properly.
Cleaning - seems to be good. The ash drops down into the disposable aluminum drip pan. Pick yourself up so extra drip pans (11"x5"x2.5"). I wish there wasn't 2 screws sticking up near the slot that the ash is supposed to drop down. Makes it harder for pushing the ash, but not really a gamechanger.
1 Issue: I noticed that the lid on my grill warps a bit when I'm grilling, presumably due to heat. If I let the lid shut on its own, it is still open about 1/2". I am still able to shut the lid if I push to the right while I'm closing it, but it's a bit of a drawback. My paint is wearing in that area, but more importantly I burn more pellets and lose heat if I forget to push the lid while shutting because some heat is lost through the gap. The lid is a slow-close which is great and must have in my opinion, but I wish there was some way to fix the warping issue. The lid comes assembled to the pit in the box, so I don't believe I assembled it improperly. Pictures attached.

My primary goal was to up the flavor and grill a great steak but I wanted the convince of a gas grill but I was still looking for the flavor and searing abilities of wood or charcoal. I’ve had burgers and steaks that were cooked on other smokers and they were all missing that charred taste that is a big deal to me. I fell in love with the concept of the smoke fire but was scared by so many of the reviews so I did a lot of research. Once I understood this grill, I basically learned that for a long, slow smoke I just need to put a water pan under the meat that doubles as a drip tray, it gives extra moisture, catches the grease and makes clean up a breeze… something I’d want to do anyways with any smoker. Everything I’ve cooked has been a home run, even when I was unprepared and just seasoned and cooked stuff on the fly and the probes are great for getting the temp just right. When I bought this unit I was prepared to have to do regular cleaning but I’ve had no fires and have found that the cleaning has been easy and way more monomial than I came to expect after reading all the bad reviews! I love my smoke fire!

This was our first smoker and it really hit the mark for all the things we wanted to do with it. It smokes and can get to a high enough temp to cook steaks like on the grill. All the food we’ve made has turned out great, evenly cooked, and tasty. The smoke boost is a great feature as well, and the temp probes and app make it easy to know when the food is done or when fuel is running low. We also thought that the Weber pellets by far are the best vs others on the market. We really haven’t used our gas grill since getting this one.

The Weber EPX6 is an amazing cooking machine. I always cook on Webers and this one doesn’t disappoint. I have cooked 4 or 5 items on it and it taste awesome. I haven’t had issues with the electronics or controls like previous versions that I researched. The flexibility of 200-600 is better than competitors. Simple feedback for the designers: 1) make the light glass inside more easily serviceable hit will get darkened when used with smoking. I can clean it, but just haven’t had time. 2) For the price point, it should have folding tables on left and front included. 3) The cover (sold separately) should have tie down points on each leg. Almost lost the cover in 2 wind storms.
It is a amazing, well designed smoker / grilling grill. Can’t wait to use it more in the Sprimg / Summer.

Great Pellet Grill/Tech needs an upgrade

I have been a charcoal weber griller for all my life, over 30 years. I moved almost 2 years ago and the fire restrictions in the area during the summer and dry months prevent the use of charcoal grilling. So, I converted, sticking with weber, to the SmokeFire pellet grill. Overall the SmokeFire grilling is amazing, almost too easy. I use the SmokeFire to smoke and grill and every time the meat, veggies, and bread turn out amazing! However, this is my 2nd SmokeFire. My first one was the 2nd gen SmokeFire and now I have the Stealth Edition. My 2nd Gen tech failed on me. I replaced the controller, the power supply, and even the motherboard. No matter what I replaced, after owning the SmokeFire 2nd for a year, the controller would continuously restart on me during my cook. It would lose the set temp, the time, and even the reciepe. Both my issues the controller and the App worked great! Weber was wonderful and replaced my 2nd with the Stealth Edition. Honestly, I like the Stealth over the 2nd Gen because it does not have stainless steal, which is hard to clean and maintain. So far the tech is working great and I hope I can enjoy the Stealth for years to come with little to zero issues. I have a neighbor on my left who uses a non-weber pellet grill and neighbor on my right who uses another non-weber pellet grill. Neither of them can compare their cooks and quality to the SmokeFire. If you are like me having to convert from charcoal to pellets or are wanting a easy cook system that still gives you the charcoal like taste I recommend the SmokeFire to you!

Improved...mostly

I had a terrible experience with the EX6. I purchased several accessories for the EX6. By the time I received the grill I was unable to return most of them. Because of this, I was willing to swap it for the EX6 Stealth. I very glad I did. So far it's been an overwhelmingly positive experience. For one, it works. Second, the food tastes great. Third, it's easy to use.
The reason I left four stars instead of five is only because Weber opted to replace a few metal parts with plastic.
Lastly, Weber customer support was there for me. I expect they will be there for you too should you need them. Jesse at Weber customer support was very helpful. I hope he get recognition from Weber. He is in part the reason I am leaving this review. He is also a big part of why I will continue to buy Weber grills.
