It is a nice press, but the curve may need a little work. I have to press the middle of the hat design then each side of the hat. So it takes 3 presses to finish a hat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have a friend who is starting out and needed some hats and signs. My cricuts got a workout and having the hat press was so much easier for me to use when doing the hats. They turned out beautiful and straight compared to what I was doing prior.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a cool supplemental product for a cricut!! My brother-in-law had been wanting a hat but I wasn't really sure how to do it because I've only tried t-shirts. Once I got this product I was able to try it right away and it was so easy and perfect. You download an app and it sends all the info to the press so it does the perfect heat. It even sets the timer which takes away all of the guessing for how long to leave it on. It is Bluetooth enabled so you put what type of material, And it sends all the info back to the press And it does all the settings for you. Super cool especially right before Christmas because this will be perfect for gifts.

The major complaint the I have is that you can only use this from the app. The other Cricut machines I have are usb compatible. I don't always have my phone nearby, and I don't have a table.
