Provides light and has a dimmer but doesn't get that bright considering the size and the price tag. It's very large and bulky and gives off a soft light. When doing intricate work, it would be helpful to have a "bright" light, as in the description.

I got this at such a great deal I figured I would try it out and I’m so glad I did!! I wish I had got the 2 pack but they were all sold out by then! The light is larger and heavier than I thought. It seems durable and it has made such a difference!
