I really like my desktop light. The best part of my lamp is the not only the brightness but the lamp illuminates my entire desktop, not just a small area. Also the ability to move the light back and forth so easily is very helpful.

It is a nice light. The lamp is huge. Larger than I anticipated. There doesn't seem to be an off and on. I slide the control down, it shuts off and I guess my movement causes it to turn back on right after I turn it off. If I turn it "off" and walk away it doesn't seem to come back on.
