Great and not overpriced

Work as expected. I found that I don't have to replace them as often as recommended. Would like to see a little less plastic in packaging, but at least the filters themselves are plastic-free. Not overpriced in my opinion.

Excellent filters at keeping food odours in the bucket while in your kitchen. I change them on a regular basis and wash the cover in between. The filters are simple to replace.

Happy to Reduce Food Waste

My first Food Cycler had a stalling problem and Vitamix replaced it, literally, the next day. The newer one, which I've had for at least nine months, has worked beautifully, and it's been so easy to use. My plants are thriving as a result! This loses a star because of the high price and the plastic used in the filters. We need a non-plastic solution for disposable components.

We did not purchase the Vitamix Food Recycler to create mulch for the garden, we make the purchase to reduce the times we needed to head to the transfer station. This is our first home with septic and we did not want to have food waste in the system, yet we did not want to deal with degrading foodstuffs in the home for an extended period of time. This has proven to be the perfect solution to managing food waste.
The unit does a great job of breaking down the waste material while at the same time allowing fewer trips to the transfer station and reducing our total waste.
Very easy to use and clean. Have had the unit for over 9 months.
