The speaker works well but it is not loud enough for a jobsite. I think it would be ok for a small garage or in a house as long as there is not a lot of background noise.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Could be a fluke but had a battery in the box???

Even though everything says TOOL ONLY there was definitely a battery in the box???

Sound quality is just as good as some of the higher end Bluetooth speakers such as jbl. I use this everyday for about 12hours a day. I get about 3 days on a full battery
