Charges quickly and the USB is an extra bonus. Lasts more than long enough for the various projects that I've used it for. Having a cover to protect the connection points is a nice thing to have.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the 20 volt line. But I also use the 12v and I'm impressed with them both! I had one problem with the 20v battery not working but skils customer support took care of that and sent me a new one!. I'm working on getting more of the 20v line tools because I have most the 12v now. The 12v is amazing and does good on jobs. I use my 12v tools on the jobs I do all the time and they really put in work! Hopefully I can build up my 20v collection of tools later because I really wanna try them out. And there is different tools in the 20v line I definitely want. Wish skil would contact me so we could talk about getting some tools and me putting them to work, and do a honest review of them. I honestly don't have anything bad to say about skil! They produce good quality tools and will back them up with the warranty. I will only use skil now and I been trynna convince some guys at work to try them out.. that's why I wish skil would work with me and let me show there tools off because I know there great tools!

More than just a battery

This is my first time reviewing a battery for one of my tools but I had to mention how genius it was to add a USB charging port to the actual battery. I've had numerous occasions where I've been working and needed an outlet to charge my dying phone. This battery solves that issue. It also charges fast and lasts for a decent amount of time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'd like to talk about the PWRCORE20 batter of SKIL tools. Recently a buddy and I were comparing our new cordless impact drivers on the job site. He has a new DeWalt and I have a new SKIL. His batter is only 1.5Ah while mine is 2Ah. His battery has no other features. Mine has charge indicator lights telling me the status of the battery's charge. It also has a USB port which is nice. Have used that feature for the last 2 power outages at home. Keeping phone communications is important to us at these times and it works great. I have used this battery in many tools over the last few months. Usually I take the same battery to the tools I'm working with at the moment. I'm hard on tools and batteries and have had to charge it only once. It's a good designed, tough user friendly product. The power assist USB charging adapter is a unique little device. It converts battery power to duel USB ports. How cool is that? A lot of younger guys on the job like to listen to music on their phones. A charged phone is always a problem for them. This product solves that. My usage would be more likely to keep phones charged during a power outage. It's nice to have communication at this time as well as receiving text alerts from the power company. Also, I don't know why it couldn't be used as a spare batter dust cover. On a job there is a lot of dry wall dust, sawdust and other airborne debri floating around. This also solves that keeping the battery contacts clean.

The battery is durable. I used the drill in concrete and wood 4 hours, intermitent obviously, but I only charged once ant the end of my workday.
