For an entry-level sander designed for the home project DIYer this sander packs a ton of value. With plenty of power; a ton of features, and an overall solid build quality this is sure to be a go to tool for many years.
I picked up the sander kit with the PWRJUMP charger and one 2 Ah battery. I found the battery to last plenty long to tackle most of my sanding projects however, when it did need charged it was great to have the 5 minutes to 25% feature to keep me going. The batteries charge quickly and last a good long time.
With 6 speeds you get plenty of variation in aggressiveness and I found that keeping the dial set to slightly below level 6 helps to prevent the ever illusive "pigtails" that you can sometimes get with random orbital sanders.
The sanding pad is firm but soft enough to provide an excellent sanding surface and the hook and loop velcro on the pad is incredible. In fact I tore my sanding disc apart trying to get it off the pad!
Dust collection on this unit is slightly above average. The filtered dust collection canister mounts on the side of the sander and it does stick out quite far. What at first seemed like an annoying feature however, turned out to be a bonus. The dust shoe makes a great second handle and I found myself grabbing for it every time.
The overall ergonomics of the sander were honestly a bit tricky for me to get used to. The main handle/knob on top is a bit small for my hands and I found myself gripping the sander from the side. This seems to work out well in the end mostly because it helped me to not apply excessive pressure to the sander and allowed me to "let the tool do the work" which of course, is the number one rule in sanding!
The on/off toggle switch can be a bit tricky to find quickly however, the more I use the tool the easier that has become.
The PWRCORE 20v batteries come stocked with a USB port on the back so you can charge your phone or other USB powered device. I found this feature to be incredibly helpful mostly because my phone is always nearly dead and I use it often.
Overall I was very impressed by this tool. It is solidly built and full of features. The sanding quality is on par with other sanders in it's class and when you add in the fact that it's cordless you have a winning combo in my book! I would definitely recommend this to any home DIYer as well as a more seasoned professional.
The sanding pad came apart after the first uses. It ran well until that happened and I haven’t had a chance to replace it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Initially, I was having a problem with the "dust canister" but then I realized it was me. If you do not install the dust canister with some degree of strength, the dust canister will fall off. I have never used any sander before so it took awhile to get the feel of it. As long as I keep the sander level on the wood and only apply light pressure, the sander works great.
This orbital sander is well built. The 2 amp-hr battery lasts a long time. The supplied dust collector works well and I use that for quick sanding tasks. For longer tasks I attach my shop vac. The only negative is that the sander is very heavy with the battery, so one handed sanding is difficult. Clamp your work and use two hands.
What a pleasant surprise. This guy really sands well. It is balanced and the battery lasts quite awhile. When I bought the tool I bought an extra battery. I have a Kobalt 24volt kit and the battery in the sander doesn't seem to last long. I will see how long this sander holds up. If it lasts a year or so I will probably switch to this system instead of the Kobalt.
