Parent controls not customizable enough

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fire tablet itself is great. I think it runs well isn't glitchy and the functionality is pretty easy to figure out. It works like any other tablet with apps and such. I will say the screen is pretty small if you're wanting watch something on it through.
For the kids part of this tablet, I do think the case is amazing. The stand works well and the case is very durable and giving for any impact. Talking about the Parent controls is a different story. I do like how difficult it seems to be for a kid to even find the "switch profile" option, I just don't like the parent controls. There's no option to remove all apps, or all books, etc.... So if I want to be able to fully control what my kid sees, I have to manually go in and remove EVERY SINGLE thing. That's a ton of work. Only then could I go in and allow only the books, apps, etc... that I want my kid to read/see. This is a really annoying feature. Parent's should have FULL control, instead, by default, everything is shown and you have to remove everything. The controls should be the opposite where I can only select the things I want my kid to see.
If you want full control as a parent, this is not the app for you. If you don't care what your kids are reading or listening too, than this is a great tablet with a great case. I guess it just depends on your style of parenting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Still trying to figure out all the Amazon fire 7. I got this for our daughter for a way to help her get ready for bed. A lot of features we don’t use and have to download everything else. I’m sure once we figure it out it will be better

Great variety of apps but can be slow

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The case is bulky and durable and is able to protect the tablet when my 4 year old drops it (even on hard surfaces). Unfortunately, it does not include a screen protector, so if your little one drops a toy directly on the screen there is nothing protecting it.
The variety of games and apps is excellent, however, the tablet noticeably slows down when it is near full or playing certain games.
Overall, a good tablet, but it would need to include a screen protector and faster processor to be a great tablet.

Better than giving them an ipad

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great way to limit what your kids are seeing in terms of media with Amazon kids plus included. I noticed with iPad they are distracted by other apps/videos etc. This gives a fun learning experience without all the distractions. Comes with a hard case that has a stand as well.

It comes in a great case for the tablet to help keep it safe from little hands dropping it. There is a built-in stand for the tablet. This is a great starter tablet for my granddaughter she is 3 years old. There are numerous apps to choose from for this tablet and age appropriate. I love that it has parental controls to prevent little ones seeing things they should not see. The price is very affordable, and it is not overly priced. The case that it comes with makes it very durable especially when little ones are so rough on their items. This is great to take on road trips to help keep the little one entertained for a short or long road trip. I would definitely recommend this tablet to my friends and family.

This saves us on long drives

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my 2yo daughter recently because we were going on a long drive across California and I really needed something to keep my daughter distracted. I am happy with the Amazon Fire for a few reasons. One reason is that it has a nice cover that is easy for her to hold and difficult for her to destroy. I also like that it has so many parental controls and I don't have to worry about her venturing off on weird YouTube channels. My daughter loves the fire and I love it for her.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Amazon Fire 7 tablet for kids is absolutely wonderful! It comes with a very durable case attached so you don't need to worry about drops, which are prone to happen. The tablet is basically turn on and go! You put in a little information and your child is ready to use it in less than 10 minutes. I love how the adult is able to customize the tablet depending on what you're comfortable with the child being able to do and for age. I have a 6 year old and 13 year old and they both adore it! I highly recommend to anyone and everyone!
