I got this laptop for school and casual gaming. I’ve only had it for a few days but I can honestly say I am very impressed with it. This is my first gaming laptop so I don’t really know how to work all the cool stuff but we’ll get there. The games I have played on it so far look crisp and I can’t believe how fast everything is. It is louder than I expected, but it isn’t annoying and so far, it seems to run pretty cool. All in all, I’m happy with it.

So far so good. Fast turn on, navigation, browsing, gaming, and most of all easy quick setup with other devices. Only missing part is built in cam but I already knew that. I also hoped it had more usb ports. Video graphics are excellent knowing we all are used to viewing hi res displays. Colors are vivid. Battery is good for about an hour of just browsing web.

I use it primarily for video editing 5K footage. It is upgradeable to 64GB RAM, and I've loaded it with a 2nd 4TB nvme drive that I use for a working drive to store the Raw Footage. When finished I can offload the files to my archive drives. This has allowed me to travel light, without needing to carry around clunky hard drive cases. I pair this laptop with the ASUS ProArt 32 inch display and have had great results when working with color for photos and videos.
The computer, while mostly plastic, feels solid and well-built. The screen is excellent. The keyboad feels satisfying and is responsive. Even under max load, the fans are quieter than my previous Acer computer. It does register above 90 degrees C when rendering large files and/or gaming, and I am wondering how sustainable that will be or if I need to find additional cooling options. But this has not hindered performance up to this point.
My one main complaint is with the Armory Crate software. For some reason, it has stopped working properly. It no longer displays the CPU data. It shows system temp and GPU data, and everything else, but does not show the CPU stats, which is what I am most curious about! I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the problem still persists.
Despite that software issue, the rest of the system is solid. It was the most expensive computer I have purchased, but I feel it was a solid investment for the next few years. And bonus points for being able to handle my occasional gaming nights!

Amazing machine for the money. Was looking at MSI when I found this laptop. This is my second Asus in a row. I keep looking at MSI but for the price there is nothing better than this Asus.
It does get warm so figure out the fan profiles early.
