great, but...

got this for my birthday and couldn't be happier with it. but recently as of typing this there's a new, higher resolution option and I don't know why but now whenever I'm in a game, my display changes from the normal LS24AG32x to SAM71DA. Nvidia control panel shows that it is a 1920x1080p monitor but all my games and even windows have an option to make the res 3840x2160p. not sure if this is intentional or if im having a unique issue.
