I wanted to love this!

Save your money on this curler

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to test this new cool air hair curler from Conair out which is supposed to cause less heat damage to your hair. I have long straight hair and I love using curlers to give myself beach waves. Upon trying it I had several issues with keeping my hair in the barrel. In my opinion it doesn't grip the hair well enough. There are 3 heat settings (low, medium, & high.) There is also a fan setting which is supposed to make it look like you just received a salon blow out, but it only made my hair more frizzy. I like that the outside of the barrel is cool to the touch so it's almost impossible to burn yourself. When I used the curler it put small dents in my hair instead of curling which made me disappointed. I did however try it as a straightener out of curiosity and that did not disappoint! I do not recommend this to anyone at all unfortunately.

Interesting Concept

I like that this curler can also be used as a wand, which I am more comfortable with since I typically use a wand over a traditional clamp curler.

I liked the concept that the outside of the barrel has a cooling function to help the longevity of the curls.
It's hard to tell whether it actually did anything to improve the curl, but it definitely didn't take away from the normal life of a curl.

Easy to Use for Perfect Curls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this styler! It is definitely unlike any straightener or curling iron I’ve ever used. The cooling fan is just a step below the volume of a hairdryer on low, so it’s a bit noisy. But that’s the only con.
Hair easily glides through the blades without tugging. The outside barrels are cool to the touch, making it very easy to use if you prefer to curl with a straightener vs a curling iron (like me). I have fine hair and I use the lowest setting; my curls held the entire day with minimal hairspray. This never happens!
It took a minute to get the hang of, but after that, it’s my new favorite curling device. I recommend holding the iron vertically and turning it continuously. Perfect curl every time!

better for short hair

interesting, not sure if it prevents damage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took me awhile to get the hang of this following the instructions provided. At first, my hair didn’t curl, just straightened (probably user error), but once I got it, I love the loose, natural curl it creates. Not sure if the fan actually helps anything, but it’s an interesting concept. I like the tips at the end so you can hold both sides without burns.

so much quicker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This takes less than half the time to curl my hair! It’s so easy and fast! I made a couple mistakes (kinks) on my first try but they’re easy to fix. So easy to use. Just clamp it towards the top, twist, and your hair sort of automatically releases as you twist your way down. I tried tighter curls and beachy waves (what I prefer). Love it!
