completely surprised by how well it works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have to start off by saying that I thought the cooling aspect of this curler was a complete gimmick before using it. However, it honestly makes a huge difference in the longevity of my curls.
I have thicker hair that tends to get oily pretty fast. I used this on 2-day-old hair, and was able to finish curling my hair in 30 minutes. Usually, it would take me about an hour or even longer to curl my hair with a normal curling iron, but this not only sped up the process, but also resulted in curls that lasted longer. My normal curls would last an hour or two at the most before straightening again, whereas the curls using this curling iron lasted an entire day with no signs of losing their form. I also didn’t have to wait to release the barrel; I just clamped the iron near the roots, twisted, and pulled down, all in about 10 seconds.
Even if you don’t need the cooling to help increase the longevity of your curls, you can still use this by simply turning off the feature. The barrel is on the larger size and would give bigger curls, so if you want smaller curls this isn’t it. The only con is that the barrel length is on the shorter side, so if you have very long hair it might take longer to curl.
Overall, exceeded my expectations and I’m super happy with it! I didn’t think my hair could actually be curled because they would always straighten out within a couple hours, but this product has proven me wrong!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll preface this review with the fact that, yes, I do know how to curl my hair with a straightening iron. This styler, however, did not work for me.
I wanted so much to love this Conair Cool air styler but it simply does not work and not at all worth the heat damage to your hair. I have long, fine hair and this barely created waves. However, it did manage to create several ugly dents in my hair when I wasn't fast and nimble enough while I was trying to get a better curl. I'm not sure if it doesn't have enough heat or if the dragging it though your hair motion to curl it also causes your hair to still flat and not curled, but it just doesn't work.
I would stick with a curling iron or wand as this took double the time to look like I did nothing to my hair.

Effective but Difficult

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product has great appeal. Its interesting, cool, and fun. However, I believe it is rather hard to use. The wand doesn’t open enough, and without a tutorial video, its quite hard to make curls that last. It is very good at straightening however, but again, its hard to use effectively.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took a few strands of hair to figure out how to work this guy, but once I figured it out, I really like it! Pulling this wand through my hair is so much easier than wrapping hair around a curling iron and holding it there until the curls get hot enough. It is hard for my hair to hold a curl but these curls really stay! It will be my new go-to wand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Now...I don't normally do much to my hair. I have 3 kids, I'm running all day, it's usually in a messy mom bun. So I didn't have much hopes for curling my hair. But the kids are home today and I thought "today's a day to try my new Conair curling iron". This said it was good for even thin hair. I HAVE thin hair and even with a larger section I was having a hard time keeping my hair in the clip. I had to squeeze the other end while I was curling to hold my hair in. **(I didn't follow instructions well...says not to put hair in clip if curling traditional way). Just wrap the hair around the barrel, without burning yourself...yeah, ok. But I enjoyed the added cool air around the barrel, it was nice to help with not overheating my strands. But I would only use the air right before taking the curl out because it slowed down the curling process. I couldn't get the hair to curl from top to bottom all the way, just the tips. So not really happy with the "waves" it's to create...I know I may be a little rusty so it could be user error. Might need to practice more. Also, while turning the wand in my hand I kept clicking the iron off, constantly. The button is very easy to push. I like the curling iron because of the added air flow to help with protecting the hair and I will continue to use the iron...as much as I can. It is a neat iron and would recommend to those who are used to curling their hair. It did a great job straightening my hair with the flat center so I might get more use out of it THAT way. My hair is frizzy so that really helped with straightening it.
