[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] first off Influenster sent me this free for my honest review. This can flat iron and curl your hair. I am really particular about how my hair is done. following directions I used the medium setting for my thick hair. Yes it curled my hair easily but I couldn't get a good flat iron from it, the plates were too short and it just frizzed my hair. ok back to curling. In all fairness my hair doesn't hold a curl even with hair spray and styling products. I tried to flip my ends out after it was flat ironed, it worked but the ends kept setting at an angle. So I went back through and flattened it instead. I think this would be better for someone with thinner hair or for giving something more to already curled hair. I don't this the cool air flow helped with the curls. and it is kinda loud.

not what I expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used many curling irons and wavers throughout my life. This one in particular I did not care for. It is very loud because of the cooling fan for one. Also, I tried to use it a couple times now, and it seems a bit difficult to use. I could not get consistent curls with this and my hair would not hold the curls. After reading other reviews, I will try to use this a few more times, maybe after watching a YouTube video and see if I can get different results.

Great styler! Makes curls with little effort!

It took a little bit to get used to but after awhile I got into the swing of using it! It is so easy now to use and makes curling my hair such a breeze!! Plus the curls stay all day long with hardly any hairspray!

Works better than I thought!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tool was easier to use than I thought it would be! Basically grab a section of hair, put it between the plates, roll UP toward your scalp, and then start pulling down slowly. My first try was a little clumsy but I think with some practice it would be pretty easy/quick. I got some serious volume at first but it did fall quite a bit after an hour. I straightened my hair before trying this curling iron and that could be why the curls fell faster than expected, I also didn't use any product.
Worth noting that the tool does make noise because of the cool air flowing over the barrel. However this means that your hair is touchable immediately after you let the curl go which I really liked. What I didn't like was the bizarre start sequence. When you plug it in the lights flash and then go off, so I thought I had an issue with my outlet before I read the instructions which say that is normal and you have to hold the start button for a few seconds and it will begin to heat up.
For reference my hair is thick but pretty fine, medium length.

It cuts down on styling time because I'm not having to wait for it to cool down before separating my curls. It makes my hair feel healthier too because the hair isn't as hot. I recommend this product for anyone that has damaged hair and wants to cut down on style time.

a little disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to try this and thought it would speed up my hair routine while keeping it protected from the heat. It was kind of awkward to use. You have to hold the clamps closed by holding the cool tip together and I ended up burning my fingers a few times. Also, somehow as I was rotating the barrel my fingers kept shutting it off or changing the settings. I had to go over some pieces of hair several times and all the curls look different so it looked kind of messy. Maybe with more practice and use of this tool I will figure out how it works best for my hair but I feel like a regular curling wand is eaiser for me to use. This might work better for short hair.

Safe for hair and won’t cause any damage if following instructions correctly. I use it in the morning after wash and dry hair, and my hair looks great!
