When it came in I charged it fully. I've used it since and the battery recently died. I suppose it's difficult to ascertain whether it keeps a good charge but I have other toys who I personally find keep a better charge. My disappointment is that I have similar toys I've bought for 1/4 of the price that work similarly and just as well. Again perhaps its me and my expectations were just too high but when one pays the amount this toy costs you may expect it to stand out a bit more than other toys less than half its price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
