I bought this two weeks ago to replace my Premium Plus unit that died after 2 years of use. It is smaller and operates a little slower than the Premium Plus I had before, but takes up less space. If you have more than one coffee drinker in your house in the morning, I suggest stepping up to Premium Plus or have lots of patience.
We had to switch from the multi stream because it won’t work with the cloth organic compostable pods. This was the only slim line Keurig that doesn’t have multi stream. Absolutely love it. Brews very fast, great taste, and space saving.
I bought this K-Slim for my job and every time I've had to descale the machine it stops working. I call & they send me a new one which I have had 4 sent to me already. It is time to descale again & it so annoying because I 100% sure it's going to stop working. Keurig this machine is horrible.
Got Iced Slim K as a Christmas gift, we brew 2 to 3 cups per day, all brews are 1 to 2 ounces short. On the 3rd month descaling was required. In the process of doing the descaling as directed by Keurig descaling product & online info the machine shut down and would not turn on. I figure the heat sensor got turn off and there's no way to reset. So weeks of back and forth with different support person all giving different conflicting directions was able to get a replacement. So here we are again after 2 months )with a new machine) of using filtered town water the descaling lite is on again. We'll see if this one survives the descaling process!
I was really excited about this brewer’s new brew over ice function and used it this morning only to find it still brews hot and melts all the ice underneath. I suppose I’ll try again with brewing if, putting it in the fridge, then icing it, and serving which kind of defeats the purpose…either way totally bummed I wasted a cup this morning because it was so bland after it melted all the ice.
This brewer works very nicely. I like the addition of the iced choice as well. My only problem with the brewer is that it's quite deep. It requires a lot of space because the water reservoir is on the back as opposed to the side. Other than that if you have room for it, it works like a charm.
I have had numerous Keurig coffee makers but never this model. Bought the Slim for my son- in-law 4 months ago and are having problems brewing a regular cup of coffee. I wish it had an on/off button since the “add water” button stays on even though there’s water in the reservoir. The coffee maker cannot brew 2 cups of coffee at one time. Once the add water button comes on you cannot reset the machine. I am very disappointed in this model. Keurig customer service determined that the water reservoir needed to be replaced so now I have to wait a week before the machine is operable. I’ve never had this issue with the other models and this is only been in use fir 4 months.
