I am stuck with a range that the burners do not work. The Sensi-Temp burners will not keep a pot of water boiling. The store I bought it from won't take it back. The oven is much narrower than my previous drop in range.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello,
We’re so sorry to hear that you’ve had such a negative experience with your range. We know it’s incredibly frustrating when any appliance doesn’t work as you expect, especially when it’s so new, and this is not something we want or expect from our products. We suggest taking a look at the article below for some tips on using sensi-temp burners, as the safety feature that shuts them off should not activate during regular cooking.
If none of that helps, and if you haven’t already, we recommend taking advantage of your warranty and scheduling an appointment with our factory service team by calling 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET and Sunday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET, or by visiting https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm and we’re confident that one of our certified technicians will be able to resolve these issues. Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback and please know that we are here should you need any assistance from us in the future. Best regards. -MichaelB@GEA
After 26 years of service, my GE 27" Drop-In Electric Range, showed a fatal error. Repair people could fix this ranges, since parts were no longer available. I had to special order, the newer model JM250DTWW, from my local appliance store. I was surprised that this of "Drop-In Range," is no longer as popular as it once was. It took seven months to arrive. The appliance store, tried to get me, to remodel my kitchen, to make room for the more popular thirty inch, GE Electric Range. Since I am on fix income, and retired, a remodeled kitchen was out of the question. I was so happy, when the "GE 27" Drop-In Range," finally arrived, it took less than an hour to install, by the appliance store, professional installers. Thanks GE, for still making the 27" Inch Drop-In Range!
We wanted a brand new induction, convection, etc…but home warranty would only cover original, built in so looks just like the old one. It’s fine. Looks good, works good, no frills. Thank you GE for making practically the same model for 40 + years!
