I had a 27" GE drop in range. When we bought the house, that was the type in the kitchen. It went out so we bought another just like it to fit. No problem - the old one slid out and the new one slid in. Both of the ranges worked fine and I loved them. This time when the oven quit working, we looked around but there aren't any 27 inch drop ins except GE so we paid the higher price so we wouldn't have to remodel the cabinets. Surprise it didn't fit even though the dimensions were the same. It was just a hair wider so we had to shave off a little on the counters. It was about 2 inches taller so we had to cut out the bottom drawer and move the boards it rested on. It was a lot of work!!
The oven is smaller than my old range a couple of my pans don't fit.
I wish we had gotten a carpenter and remodeled the cabinets and paid a cheaper price for a 30 inch range.

Really like the range/oven, but way, way, overpriced. GE didn't even include the Backsplash that was needed and had to be purchased separately.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GE is the only company that makes this range, so if you need a 27 inch drop in electric range you do not haveany options

When shopping for a new electric range, we discovered that this 27-inch model is the only one that will fit into our current kitchen layout. I was a little disappointed to replace our old range with basically the same exact model. I wish GE would update the look or possibly offer an alternative 27-inch drop in unit. I felt this unit was a little pricey. However if you're like us and this is your only option, at least it is a quality product that works well.

Needed another 27 inch drop-in range as replacement for my 30 year old one. Unfortunately I could not get the bisque color so I purchased the black.
