I just got my RP-500MII speakers 4 days ago and I think they look great. Haven't listened to them yet. Just ordered a Fosi ZA3 amp and I have a Dayton Audio Classic CS1000 10in sub to pair up. These are the first bookshelf speakers I have ever bought and the first Klipsch speakers since 1989 in the Army in Germany my very first pair of speakers were the Klipsch Tangent 50 speakers. I think that was the name. Then went to the Cerwin Vega V15s which I had for years. Been jamming 2 Partybox 100 speakers for the last 3 years but it's nice to be back home. I will update when I get everything hooked up.
I rediscovered my vinyl and CD collection with these speakers, incredible sound, they are not tiring at all, on the contrary, a warm and extremely precise sound, I am more than delighted with them!
I recently started to become obsessed with Klipsch speakers after I got a set of used 2007 Klipsch Reference surround speakers. I wanted to get some newer, better ones too. I decided to go with the RP-500M II because they are the perfect size, and have great audio according to other people. Next to that I think they look beautiful! This is the first time I bought brand new Klipsch speakers, previously I would only get used ones. The sound they make is way more balanced than previous speakers that had louder tweeters that (according to some) could fatigue. Personally I never had that Klipsch tweeter fatigue because I liked it. However with the great sound of these new speakers it doesn't feel like I'm missing something either. The sound is still very detailed. The build quality is also good. I have nothing to complain about!
After a week of comparing speakers with a variety of songs Led Zep, Little Feat to The Carpenters on Clutchfiled website. Now that their setup sounds even better I'm even going to buy another pair for the rear. I just need to pick the right one's.
i've had my 500ii's for around a year now. also using the 400ii's rear and 500C centre and Klipsch sub, they were hooked up to an Onkyo TX NR6100 and sounded great. recently upgraded amps to a Yamaha RX A6A and now they sound even better. very happy with these.
This might explain: WOW! These speakers were an upgrade from previous Klipsch mains. My whole HT 5.1 system, are all Klipsch, connected to a Denon 7 channel AVR. I listened/watched several SI-FI movies and was amazed with the dynamics and clarity. I sometimes tune to MP3 internet music from Soft Rock to Symphony, to Folk and Piano, listening to such detail and smoothness, in 2 channel stereo mode.
I have a small HT room in the basement, and found the 500's performed tbe best, with them pointed straight out into the room. With distance to the mains and 55" QLED TV, at 6.5 feet. Having these 500M II's, for the mains, has made the movies and music, so much more enjoyable. I love the Klipsch sound. These speakers are 3 weeks old and perform every day.
