[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These speakers perform extremely well for their size (though they might be a bit large for use on an actual bookshelf). They produce clear, stable, high range sound that comes through nicely even at very high volume. The bass and low ranges are a bit weak, but that is expected for a unit this size - easily remedied by pairing it with a dedicated subwoofer. I saw other reviewers recommend this mostly as a front channel set, and I would absolutely agree with that. Overall, super great looking and sounding speakers. I have no issue displaying these front and center in my living room.
I run all Klipsch for my 7.1.4 and the surround speakers simply weren't doing the job in context (the mains are Cornwall IV's for example). So I replaced the Klipsch RP 502 II's with the RP 600 II's and am enjoying a much better surround experience.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Klipsch speaker I've been dreaming of

I owned the first version of this speaker and used it with both tube and solid state equipment. I simply could not abide by the harsh treble and somewhat missing midrange. I read numerous reviews about the second iteration and how it addressed these issues, so I got a pair while on sale. I’ve been in the audio game since the mid 70’s and have owned more equipment than I can remember, but I have finally found the absolute right speakers to mate with my Rogue Audio Atlas amplifier.
In a medium size room there is no need for a subwoofer. These speakers bring out all the best of all genres of music, from jazz to rock, vocals, instrumentals…everything is rendered just perfectly. I never really bought into the phrase “I’m hearing things I never heard before” but with these Klipsch, it’s so true. Mids are present and so well defined, and the hot treble has finally been tamed. Soundstage, imaging, depth…it’s all there. Careful partnering with solid state equipment is necessary, but for tubes, I have finally found my keeper speakers.
Using these as my surround sound repalcements. They replaced my previous Synergy series surrounds. The improved low end and enhanced highs made these a worthy placement for the intended purpose. Great bookshelf speaker!
I was pleasantly surprised at the level of detail presentation and the depth of the soundstage. When paired with a REL T/5X, I was blown away by the overall sound. I had originally been concerned about the edginess of the treble with Klipsch speakers but found that they have much more of a neutral presentation than any Klipsch speakers I had heard in the past. For their price, they are a fantastic value; the fact that I caught them on sale simply made them a no-brainer and the ability to bi-amp them only made them that much more attractive to me.
