Fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dinosaur is really cool! My son really loves it! The roaring and chomping it does when you push the button is a lot of fun! There is also another button to push to make the upper body move from side to side. The button is harder to push for younger kids but it is a lot of fun!

Dinosaur for 3 year old

Roaring Fun, just needs a stronger bite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After seeing Jurassic World: Dominion, my kids were excited to play with this dinosaur, who is a featured new star in the film. The size of this toy is just right; not too big or too small to carry around and play with. I like that the tail can move smoothly back and forth, and that you can position the angle of the feet to make sure that the dinosaur can stand on its own and balance in any pose. The arms are also adjustable. The color and detail on it is great! Lots of attention to detail on this series of toys. The sound of the roars is nice and strong and clear, which kids will love.
There are two "moves" you can access with buttons on the top of the tail base and just underneath it. The section on top that you push down causes the dino to swing his head back and forth. The button underneath will cause him to open his mouth and roar. Both can be used simultaneously to really make it feel like he's alive, which is cool! But the one critique I have is that it shows on the product box that he can pick up other dinos and "thrash them around" in his mouth. Of course the kids immediately tried that, and were getting a little frustrated that the mouth grip is not strong enough to pick up and hold another small toy well. The small lightweight raptor we tried it with (just like the one on the box) immediately fell out and couldn't seem to stay in the mouth to be lifted. It might need a stronger closing mechanism or hinge to hold something in the mouth better, since it's an advertised function.
Other than that small thing, this is a fun addition for dino lovers and their Jurassic World collection! It's great for pretend play.

Impressive toy!

It’s a sturdy, well made toy that has a roar that impresses kids but doesn’t give adults a headache! My 6 yo son loves the different interactive features and the fact that he can scan the hidden code to learn dinosaur facts!

Awesome Giant Dino that wasn't put down for hours!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the Jurassic World Strike 'N Roar Giant Dino is an outstanding addition to the Jurassic World Dominion line. The toy is the Giganotosaurus, the main big bad guy in the new movie. My son absolutely loved this guy in the movie and absolutely loves this toy. The colors really pop and the sculpting is perfect. It scales perfectly with the human 3.75" figures. For the first time the Dinosaur can actually stand in every pose without eventually falling over due to weight distribution with the leg joints, a problem that many of the giant dinos in the line have had. The trashing from side to side effect is very realistic and can easily be achieved by pressing a button on the top of the dino. The mouth also opens and lets out a very realistic roar when a separate button on the bottom of the dino is pressed. The best part is that both buttons can be pressed simultaneously activating both effects. The only thing that stops this product from getting a perfect score is the fact that when standing neutral, it is almost impossible to position the dinosaur's upper torso in a way that keeps it perfectly steady. The trashing joint is on a swivel so it wants to lean left or right when not in motion, again making posing the dino in a realistic neutral or static position very hard, with some effort it can be done in one and only one way/pose but a young child will not have the dexterity or patience. Aside from that, my son loves this toy and would not put it down for hours after opening it, and that is probably the single most important thing to take away from this review, it's awesome and loud and captivating for it's target audience! An absolute must for recreating the final showdown with the T-Rex and the Therizinosaurus! Great work Mattel!

A favorite!

It has different buttons, one for roar and chomp underneath and the bottom on top makes it thrash around. Seems like great durability without sacrificing realistic details which makes it great for interactive play for multiple ages. Don’t forget to pull up the scan code on its back for the jurassic world facts app which just adds another layer of fun. Definitely recommend!

Giganotosaurus

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Strike N Roar Giganotosaurus is a fun toy the whole family enjoys. It sizes up nice with the Tyrannosaurus. We use the Giganotosaurus to play with our Outpost play set and RC Jeep. It’s play action makes for good Dino fights and we can now reenact scenes from Jurassic World: Dominion. Kids love this toy and it also makes a Dino loving Dad happy too!

A new dino for the collection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for my honest review. This appears to be a high quality product as my son has dropped it a few times and can be rough having battles with his toys and it still looks brand new. It’s similar to other dinosaurs in the same toy line. It works right out of the box and there are two buttons that control movement. The one on the top is nice because it is a softer rubber material to press, unlike the rest of spikes, which are hard. My six year old son does need both hands to push all the way down on this button most of the time, so it may be difficult for smaller hands.
