Extremely happy with this 48Qt Fridge/Freezer!

There are a LOT of things we like about this fridge. First, I'm very impressed with rugged construction. I appreciate the reversable lid that gives me more flexibility in how I can position the fridge in the car and still easily access our food and drinks (I even like the secure 'SNAP' sound the lid makes when it latches!). The interior LED lights that pop-on when you open it are very handy when we're cooking at night in low light. The bottle opener is also a VERY nice touch (I seem to forget to pack one more often than not. haha). As an extremely light sleeper, I'm so impressed at how quiet the LG compressor is..even when it first kicks on, it kind of ramps up rather than starting with a 'clank' as many other 12v fridges seem to do. From a power consumption standpoint, I can actually run this fridge off-grid pretty much indefinitely, even with just a 300w power station and a single 120w panel (provided I get at least 4hours of decent sun each day - even less if I'm just using it as a fridge and not a freezer). I do typically use it with a 1000w powerstation, just for the extra capacity for other things, but it was just this fridge, my 300w would be all I needed! I think the last thing I'm really happy about is the pull-out handle and roller wheels. This is absolutely indispensable back-saver when you've got the fridge loaded-up with soft drinks and you need to move it from point A to point B (I'm not a 25 year-old gym rat anymore, after all!) In summary - fantastic product! I look forward to many years of use from it!

I only gave it four stars because the first one was dead on arrival. Although I was eventually sent a replacement unit; it completely messed up an important trip. Current unit seems to work fairly well.

The cooler is built very well! It can even get cold enough to freeze food so it's great for a fisherman like me, especially with power options like a car, their solar or battery option. We personally use an Anker power pack with it, it's a bit more versatile than the proprietary battery! If you are looking for a electric cooler this is one of the best!

Great fridge/freezer combo. Kept milk, drinks and food cold for several days. Plugged in using AC and the 12V DC while in the car. Not too heavy to load in and out of the car and the wheels make it easy to move around. Very quiet, easy to read display. I will buy the battery when it's back in stock. Highly recommended.

Amazing quality fridge for a reasonable price

I have had several fridges in the last few years, but none have the quality feel of the locking handle that this does or the features for even close to the price. I've had a few NewAir products and they've all been fantastic so this was a no-brainer. The built in cutting board and bottle opener are just bonuses. Overall, I love it and I can't wait to use it for years to come!

I purchased this cooler to use in my semi. It works very well and keeps my food fresh and at the optimal temperature. I took away stars because the plug in is constantly coming loose from the back when I move the cooler from the back to the front of my cab. It also leaks water from the bottom. I assume the freezer defrost water. Is there a tray I should be emptying? I just mop it up everyday.
