Installation was easy, and the unit looks classy, not to mention that it works well (all features), and silently. The sound is minimal for all the work this unit does. I’m so impressed and may just get another one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This LG is a window "climate control unit." It's not just a cooling unit but also provides heat. I have an office that is situated in an addition to an older home. The people that did the addition didn't pay too much attention to the air conditioning and heat for the added rooms. Living in Texas, that is a big mistake. My office is cold in the winter and hot in the summer. This unit has already proved useful in taming some 90 degree days and I expect it will be even more useful when the temperature gets to 100 (soon). I am also expecting it to provide a more comfortable work environment in the winter. It supports Wifi smartphone controls, so you can adjust the temperature before you enter the room or even when you are away from home, and it has an intuitive, built-in electronic control pad. It's pretty efficient for a window unit - 11 CEER (Combined Energy Efficiency Rating).

Next, I love that it’s not super noisy like the other window unit we had. I love the fact I can control it from my smartphone as well. Super convenient and just awesome- probably one of my favorite features. It’s so cool that it’s not just an air conditioner, but also a heater. My husband installed it in his man cave because it tends to get either a little too warm or cold during the winter. This is just what he needed-a heater and air condition all in one. It cools the room perfectly and doesn’t take long, . The heat feature is amazing too. Gets nice and toasty in a jiffy! Just an overall great unit for any room! Works great and is multifunctional.

I tried it with my portable generator and it starts up and operated very smooth as if it were on the grid. It is just what I needed for emergency situations.
