good pockets, handles ok, difficult zipper

I bought this for a gym bag after reading the reviews and I'm returning it and selecting a different item. Positives and negatives: plenty of room in main pocket, exterior zippered pockets have good capacity, bigger than you might think from the pictures; the handle and wheels work well and the duffel maneuvers well when fully loaded; contrary to other reviews, I could get it to stand on end if I was careful, although I can see that doing this regularly would get the bottom end stained/dirty as there are no "feet" for standing it upright. The big negative and deal breaker for me was, the zipper to the main compartment worked very poorly, it jammed every time I tried to zip it past the first corner of the U shape (it worked fine when rounding the second corner, however). I am not sure if the zipper problem was an isolated manufacturing defect in the one specific item I purchased, or if all of these duffels have a zipper problem. I would not necessarily say "don't buy one" but the serious problem with the zipper on the particular duffel I purchased was a deal breaker for me and I'm sending it back as "defective."

I checked measurements beforehand, but it’s smaller than I was expecting. Good quality and fun colors - probably the right size for a kids weekend bag, so I’ll keep it.
