I am so excited about my new HP LJ Pro MFP 4101fdw! I was a little nervous about doing the install myself as I usually have IT do that part, but I pulled the printer out of the box connected it to my computer, opened the HP Smart app and voila! It practically installed itself! The print quality, speed, and simplicity of this printer are fantastic! I definitely would purchase it again. The price was also really good, and on top of all this, I received a nice discount on the printer from HP for purchasing during their President's Day Sale! Super happy customer here in Michigan!

Super easy, and just what we needed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my HP Printer MFP 4101fdn and I have already used it a few times and highly surprised even my husband with how quick and responsive it really is and the set up was lighting fast. I printed about 25 pages in seconds. This machine can print up to 42 pages a minute so I’m not too worried about it keeping up with what we do daily. It’s black and white only and it’s just what my husband and I needed for everyday use. It’s super easy to navigate. Touchscreen is super responsive. The features below are a few or the many things this machine can do.
Copy, one sided or two, print, scan and or fax all in one place. The touchscreen is super responsive and easy to use. The copy mode and print mode are the ones I use most often and will continue to use. Copy has- document or ID card. When clicking document it allows you to at that time select 1-1,1-2,2-1,2-2 sided, so numerous options. Also allows for tray selection on the off chance you don’t have enough paper in once tray you can switch it to the next one. I love the feature when swiping up-you can preview the document before printing. The scan I has multiple saving options, email, network folder, sharepoint, scan to a computer, or even a USB. Print is what we use daily but these other features in such a small compact machine is lovely. Im already in love with it and so excited to use it. It’s super speed and no working about it not printing because it’s super clear images even in black and white form. Highly recommend this to anyone I know.

Why No Fi?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First the pleasantries ... I was pleasantly surprised by how compact the printer is. The small footprint makes for easy setup in mostly any desk arrangement. HP is pretty consistent when it comes to quality and this product is no different in that regard. It's easy to use (once setup) the color touch panel is simple and to the point, it spits out pages at a nice clip, etc.
Unfortunately, I was not-so-pleasantly surprised to discover that a product made in 2024 doesn't have WiFi? Really? Luckily, I'm an IT and Networking Specialist and was able to fashion myself an ethernet cable long enough to connect to my closest outlet (and PLE).
Once I had the ethernet connected and welcomed the 4101 into the family with my other HP printer, all was well and good.
If you're looking for a nice, compact, document printer (and have the proper connectivity available), it's a go. However, if your setup is best suited for a unit with the flexibility provided by a wireless connection ... it's a pass.

A Great User Friendly Professional Printer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My experience with the HP LASERJET PRO MFP 4101FDN printer has been excellent. The initial setup was effortless after supplying a USB-A to USB-B cable. The printer doesn't come with one so you’ll need to supply the USB cable to set up the printer if you’re not connecting it directly to your network via ethernet cable. The printer isn’t Wi-Fi capable either. Once I connected the USB cable from my printer to my desktop computer, I was up and running. No additional software or drivers were required.
You can install the optional hp smart app desktop software if you want to effortlessly scan; print documents, utilize mobile fax, or if you need to order a replacement toner. The printer is able to print up to 42 pages per minute. I couldn’t believe how fast this printer operates!
I wasn’t able to test out the hp smart app that allows you to monitor toner levels; scan documents, send documents to the printer, or use the mobile fax features. Lastly, the printer only prints black and white. I highly recommend this printer to anyone who’s looking for a professional printer without having to worry about a complicated setup process.

Excellent printer/Copier

I made a copy of one of my reports and couldn't tell the difference from the original to copy. The speed of copying and printing is super fast. Unfortunately doesn't come with USB cable.
