No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop at it's lowest specs (8GB Ram, 256gb SSD) is perfect for any entry level graphic designer, cnc machinist, etc... looking for an on-the-go option. I often use this Thinkpad while in the field to work details in VCarve Aspire, Phtoshop, or Carbide Create with no lag. I'm confident I could actually use this as a stand alone option if I needed too.

Having had mobile workstations in the past, was pleasantly surprised at it being lighter than expected. The screen size and keyboard are excellent for computer science student.

Motherboard failed after only five months of use.

I bought this laptop in October 2021 and the motherboard failed completely. It was very considering this was a high end laptop.
