[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good. We've only had the laptop for about a week and a half but it is fast and capable with a great display. No hiccups with any of the software and it seems to be fairly sturdy. We purchased this particular laptop to replace our heavily used desktop and so far it is more than capable.

Dead pixel line, display would shut off problem

I bought the P15s laptop for about ~1.2k in Jan 2021 and unfortunately had a few problems. After about 2 weeks of getting it, a dead line of pixels appeared on my screen, leaving a green line. Also, I had this problem that if I moved the computer quickly (stood up with it or something) it would shut off the display and kick me to the login screen. After hunting for fixes, changing settings and everything I believe the likely problem was a loose monitor ribbon connection. Then, just recently, (July 2021) I accidently dropped the computer when walking and it was completed damaged. My own fault for sure, but I was hoping that a thinkpad product would be a little stronger.
I generally really like thinkpad products and both the issues were for the most part minor and just annoying. However, I don't know if I just got unlucky with the my specific laptop or there were quality control issues with the model overall. Besides the problems, the computer ran fine, had good sound, display, could run whatever I needed to do and was generally good. However, these problems really dampered my experience and made me doubt whether I should get another thinkpad product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good heavy duty laptop. It might be a bit heavier than others, but I like getting these laptops because the large vents that they have. This prevents it from overheating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ordered laptop, docking station and SW . All worked seamlessly. My only complaint is website. Should be easier to figure out what was not in stock or would take month. Would be great to have better feature sort and I had to make my own spreadsheet to narrow choices.
