Bought this to replace an older HP printer (HP’s recommended “replacement” model). Unfortunately it was nonfunctional out of the box. The HP app diagnosed a paper tray that wasn’t lifting. I own and have owned multiple HP printers and this is the first one with a moving paper tray. Clearly the mechanism has reliability issues. Annoying but better to fail at the beginning than in 6 months! Also the printer is rather bulky. All in all an underwhelming experience.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had a series of problems attempting to print wirelessly on my home network. At first I thought it was Norton 360, but even with that disabled the printer is shown offline. I have tried removing the printer and reinstalling all the software with the same result. Getting by with hardwiring the printer to my PC.

I purchased the printer for the high quality resolution printing. I also am very glad I can save paper by utilizing double sided printing. Printing from the Phone, Tablet and PC is quick, easy, and flawless.

Good Product, No Internet Needed After Setup

This printer replaces my HP1100 from 1999. I needed a faster black and white printer that I can print from my PC or iPhone. I’m happy and it prints duplex. I used a USB cable to complete setup (not included). Other than software download, no internet was required. I was not able to complete setup without the USB cable because my PC does not have Wi-Fi. But otherwise, it’s been great!
