2020 Ranger 7.5
on June 30, 2022

I bought new last year, I have about 570 miles on it, did a very cool trail, the big m in the Manistee national forest, a lot of hills, the bike quit when I was returning from my ride, the controller wire got so hot where it connects to the motor wire, it melted the connector together, had to pry it apart. Error code 024, it needs a new motor, the tire/motor get replaced as an assembly and won't be available for 85 days, the entire summer, I bought a new one because I love riding and you can get a new one in under a week, I hope like heck that the wire doesn't melt again, I would be very unlucky, unless this is happening to other quiet Kat owners out there, it is a blast so 2 stars, motor replacement with less than 600 miles sucks

Ranger disappointment
on June 25, 2022

I purchased a Ranger 7.5 with a 15" frame in October of 2021. I have 460 miles on it now. (June 2022). This is the first ebike I've owned. Maybe I expected too much. I ride mostly trails; fairly steep (hills of western Pennsylvania). I'm disappointed in the power of the 750W motor. Here's a list of additional disappointments: * the stock seat provides just enough cushion to prevent it from being a butt plug * the kickstand broke off (somewhere on a trail) * the derailleur broke off (I guess on a log) * the front suspension is just enough to be called suspension (maybe I was just to used to riding off road motorcycles) * I wore the first set of brakes out at 200 miles; now at 460, I'm ready for brakes again. *Price is high for what you get; my girlfriend bought a Sonata 1000W step thru; it's way more powerful than the Ranger and half the price.

Ranger and two wheel trailer
on June 11, 2022

This past hunting season I got the chance to use my bike and trailer to hail out my best buck yet. It work like a charm. Just have to secure the deer good and be aware off off cambers or uneven roads or trails. I flipped the load twice before learning better technique. Was also least one mile in and the whole way out was all on the throttle and still was reading a full charge.

So far so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very solid bike. Love how the rack is welded in place. The battery life is decent. The big thing I’ve seen with it so far is that it’s definitely ideal to ride in the Midwest or places that are mostly flat. If you have lots of hills buy a mid drive so the motor can work with the gearing. Also this hub is definitely waterproof. Tested that out in a creek. Overall I think It’s a very solid bike that I’ve enjoyed so far. Everyone that I’ve let ride it now wants to go buy one. Just be prepared to deal with FedEx.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the ranger to ride on local mountain biking trails as well as off trail exploring through the forest. I find it better than advertised for my purposes.

Ranger 750
on May 27, 2022

I recently bought a ranger 750, very cool bike, would be nice if the engineering took after some of the new mountain bikes and used quick release skewers, hyd disc. Brakes, etc. Seems very old school setup. The brakes seem like the cheapest possible you can find, after countless adjustments they still squeel loke crazy. I am a mtn bike mechanic and coach an Interscholastic mtb team so I have done a great deal with bikes. Hardly any adjustments on the fork also, still.a nice bike however, for the price I would expect some more modern technology, not 1985 era.
