Reliable unit for AC and heat, Alexa-compatible

We've had this unit for a 3 months now, and are impressed with its might. It's worked well both for air conditioning cooling and now quick room-heating needs, churns a lot of air flow, and is gratefully reliable as we have it paired to Alexa for ease of turning on, off, and adjusting the thermostat temperature from anywhere in the room, house, or prior to returning home from the app - very convenient. It fits the decor of the room and is semi-hidden behind a chair, vents out of a window just fine.
Strongly recommend wrapping the plastic vent sleeve in a duct-insulation material so that when using the AC, the HOT air being pumped from the unit out of the vent/window doesn't radiate back into the room from the plastic - it makes a big, big difference to cool the room quicker.
One note is that when set the heating mode, the unit churns out quite an impressive amount of water through the back pump, so we need to drain a 2 gallon container once-daily if kept on all day/overnight, for example. The pump does work in all positions, so all good if needed to have it go vertically up before entering a container, it's got pump power. Or you can theorhetically have the pump tube be positioned/installed to drain outside or into a proper interior drain depending on your setup, so that this isn't an issue.
It's worth noting that this is a powerful and louder unit, so when the thermostat is set, if it's in your bedroom area and on overnight for temperature control (AC or heat), you may have trouble sleeping through its cycling on and off repeatedly if you're a lighter sleeper. Also recommend keeping a door cracked open if using AC so that your ears don't experience the room's air pressure jumping when the unit first turns on in a smaller room.
Overall this unit is exactly what we were looking for. It's sleek, helpful all-year round with impressive AC and heat, Alexa-enabled, easy to set up and install, and so far continues to function 3 months in. Thanks kindly, LG Team!

Heat doesn’t work well at all unless the temperature is very mild. If it’s 50 it may heat the room a couple degrees but anything lower than that it doesn’t work and iced up. Technician said it’s not designed to heat a room by itself. If I had another heater why would I buy it? Waste of money for the heat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to replace my six year old LG unit and that quickly changed as the unit arrived defective not operating properly.I spent hours trying to resolve the issue with LG which is incredibly difficult .Finally they agreed to pick up the unit for a return/replacement which to date I have no communication as to where my new unit is!
My next action will be to contact my bank to refuse payment on the product which I do not have.
