I love this computer. It's big, fast and quiet. I hate Windows 11 and one drive, which can't be removed. But the computer is great. It's my 6th or 7th HP, I think.
I come from an HP HPE-450t desktop PC. Though it is in excellent shape, it is 13 years old and it was showing its age, performance wise. (I do not require the latest firepower every few years.)
I have been considering getting a new unit, and checking online and in brick-and-mortar stores for over a year. Then I found the HP Envy. Considering the present state of the technology, I was expecting it to be better than the PC it replaces. Color me impressed. It is leaps and bounds better, looks and performance wise. And, if it is like the unit it replaces, it will hopefully serve me well for many years.
Besides the HPE-450t and the Envy, I still own an HP Envy 17t-s100 laptop PC, which still performs very well. I mention these units as HP has been, to me, a very reliable brand for many years, both at work and at home. They seem to be keeping their standards high.
Over all, I like it. This computer was bought to replace a 10 year old unit that I use at home. Obviously, a few things have changed over that time and a most of the bugs encountered during setup were related to that. I was surprised (Thou I shouldn't have been), that a CD/DVD player was not part of the original configuration. The new computer has enough horse power/memory for everything I want to do, including some high graphic intensive ones. I would buy it again.
Problem with keyboard, which frequently stall and after types several the same key characters. It is a problem when somebody types password. I had to use USB connected keyboard. Plugging front top panel USB devices was better designed in old HP computer model e.g 860-010. It was under angle not straight vertical. Cables to mount optional hard drive are too short. Empty socket for another SSD drive is under Graphic Card. It has to be removed to install SSD. Original 1TB SSD should be installed under Graphic Card allowing easy installation of second SSD drive. LAN card should be for at least 2.5 Mbps. Wi-Fi 6E does not work every time.
