After sleeping on a waterbed since 1986, I was soooo ready for a real bed, my husband not so much! Tearing down the waterbed was a HUGE chore since we couldn't get all of the water out due to waterlogged baffles inside. After hand tearing the baffle out and throwing the waterlogged mattress and liner out the window and then dismantling the beast, it was so fun to set up the base you recommended (15-20 minutes) and open the Tuft & Needle box and cut open the plastic and watch the bed grow! So, easy!!! and no water!!!!! YAY! That night we crawled into the new bed and for the first time since 1986, I didn't hear any water sloshing around. Just . . . silence. Ahhhh! The new mattress feels so luxurious, just the right firmness, very very very little odor and with new sheets we feel like we are in a luxury hotel bed. I researched and mulled over and even paid for Consumer Reports subscription online to make sure I was making the right choice. I would recommend this mattress any day of the week, the process of buying it and setting it up was so fun!!! Thank you Tuft & Needle!!!!

Definitely had higher expectations. I bought my daughter a Bear Mattress and I love that mattress. My husband wanted to get this one and we were not completely satisfied. I will not buy another mattress from Tuft and Needle. It's too soft.

Seems well made and is starting to get more comfortable but I've only had it like 3 weeks so I couldn't give it a 10 but does feel like it gives good support all over in any position you sleep in.
