Mattress is pretty soft. If friend is a side or stomach sleeper it would be an 8/9 recommendation. If they are a back sleeper it would be a 4/5.

Such a comfortable bed! Just to put into perspective: I was recently sick and in bed a whole three days, and I NEVER felt sore or uncomfortable from my new bed.

Honestly I'm not happy with it yet. I'm hoping my body will adjust to the mattress. As of yet, I haven't slept well, or been as comfortable as I hoped. I'm going to still give it time, but as of right now it's not been what I had hoped for.

We were advised to get 2 twin XL for our king bed. We love them. It they hang over the edge of our frame by about 6 inches.
