Well made, but the lid does not open very wide to easily clean out Calcium build up.

The safety shutoff feature stopped working after approximately 9 months of light use. This was past the warranty period and therefore not covered. I don’t expect small appliances to last forever, but this was disappointing. Otherwise it is a good size kettle and I liked the ergonomics.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
