Have used the device very little since receipt. Am finding it difficult to migrate data and info from Win 8.1 to Win 11 machine. No fault of HP but turning out to be time consuming.
I believe it will suit my needs. (Genealogy Research) It is not as fast as I would like, but over all the storage is great. The Windows 11 is somewhat difficult for me as I am elderly and have a difficult time learning something new. Generally.....I like the computer.
Works well. Fast as advertised. Disappointed computer package had no sound. ( No speakers, microphone, or camera) which I assumed was standard in today's enviroment
Fast, lightweight, nice keyboard. Not crazy about Windows 11's automatic One Drive upload, but that is not HP's doing. I've disabled it. Linked up immediately with my WiFi speakers and printer (also an HP). Much simpler set up than my last Dell laptops. So far so good!
It's only been a couple days since I set this badboy up, but I already am getting everything and more out of it. The bootup is really fast the 2TB hard drive means I'll never run out of room. The whole system setup was fast, rather than an hours longs hassle. I love the fact that it came with a VGA and an HDMI port. So setting up my two monitors didn't require any additional adapter cable purchases. I'm very happy with this computer!!
This computer is not what I expected. It did not come with a Memory Card Reader, like my last HP tower had. I guess I'm just not accustomed to change. Also, it appears to be constructed cheaply. Windows 11 is a nightmare. I take a lot of pictures on my camera, which is an old Sony Cybershot that has a memory card. I can't put them on the computer unless I have a reader which I don't have and it seems that no one else does either. With the PC Mover software I purchased with this computer, not all of my files made it to the new computer. Now I'm going to have to reenter all of my music and CD's to this computer because it did not transfer correctly. I just am not happy with this.
