[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This purchase was to replace an earlier version HP tower that was 9 years old and worked very well. The only concern I have with this new tower is with the design of the DVD access, instead of loading the unit from the top of the DVD player you have to load it from the side, which to me looks like a potential operating problem after some time. Not sure why HP changed this design there was nothing wrong with the previous version, in fact on my last tower I had two DVD players. Outside of this change the new tower is performing well, however I have only had this new unit for one week.
The computer works fine. My only complaint is my inability to know what to do with it. I'm 73 years old and when I buy an item like this, I expect an instruction book. There was none.
Because it is newer and has a higher processor I thought it would be faster and more efficient than my 2010 HP computer but it is not, so disappointing. Also I had to have one with a DVD player/rewrite but all of my home DVDs don’t play. The reason that I updated was to get a PC with Windows 11, but really regret this purchase. I would only recommend if it’s for a child younger than age 10.
a lot of confusion in the file structure, plus media player is a bust....I had to go back to windows media player legay to get my 9500 songs and 3775 three stars to play. you should go back to WMP. And I had a terrible time working a couple nights to 5am to get the printer to work.
