I got this computer as an upgrade from a computer I have had for almost 10 years, also an HP. This computer had higher specs in every area. I was ok with the high price because of the improved functioning I would be getting.
Upon receiving the computer, I noticed the build quality was severely lacking. The case feels cheap. Regarding the performance quality, I am not completely satisfied, but not completely unhappy. I edit videos so I was hoping for increased power in that area. While the video rendered out very quickly, I had issues while editing saying the program couldn't open the audio because there was not enough memory available and to close some programs to allow it to open. The only other thing I had open at this time was an internet window. My old computer never gave me this warning, and it had less memory than this computer. When I opened task manager, I saw that the video program was running about 80% of the memory, which found absolutely ridiculous. I also play a computer game that takes up about 60% of the memory while running, which also surprises me, again because this computer has more memory than my previous one. The game has also crashed more in the two months I've had this computer than in the 10 years I had it on my previous one.
Overall, my impression is that while the computer is good when it comes to starting programs quickly, and downloading, rendering, and uploading, it not great for multitasking, which is frankly a big disappointment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there,
Thanks very much for your detailed review. I'm sorry to hear that your purchase has been a disappointment. I can assure you that we always aim to make our customers happy with our products and can understand how upset you must be that this one is not living up to expectations.
First, I'd recommend checking out this link for troubleshooting help: https://support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics?category=computing There, you can choose "Computer is slow" to get started and see how you might reduce heat inside your computer and adjust how your computer uses memory resources.
If this doesn't seem to work, I hope you'll reach out to us for direct support. We're always here and more than happy to help get your computer running optimally. You can get in touch with us via your preferred method at this link: hp.com/contactHP
I will also mention that HP products have a warranty from their purchase date, so you might make use of it if you need to. To verify the warranty, look for an icon on our support site labelled “Check Warranty Status.”
Pretty much what I expected. I like all of the USB ports. I was surprised I have used most of them. I had a HP all-in-one before and it took me a while to assemble all of the components (e.g. speakers, mic, etc.). But once done, it is all working smoothly. I had a Windows 7, upgraded to Windows 10, machine. Some of my software was still on a CD, so it was great to have a CD/DVD player to install the software. I also upgraded the RAM from 8 GB to 16 GB. Windows 11 is a RAM hog and I was using about 80% of my RAM with very few things open. The upgrade was easy and there are a number of You Tube instructions on how to make changes to the desktop. Thank goodness for that because the information on the HP site is sorely lacking. The speed and boot up time is much improved over my former system. It took me six+ minutes to boot up before. Now it is about one minute. The storage capacity is amazing. I still need to transfer over some files, but I have hardly touched the hard drive. So, no issues so far.
I've purchased many HP computers over the years, and this was the first time I didn't even need to customize in order to get exactly what I needed. Setup was straightforward except for the usual invasive Microsoft irritations. Once those were minimized, it has worked relatively well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After much review we chose this computer due to the fact it has lots of memory, everything else I was looking for, and the cost when weighed out amongst the others was just the best way to go for the money.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old HP Pavilion desktop was struggling and just couldn't keep up the pace anymore, so I purchased a new TP01-1125xt Pavilion desktop. Boot up time is half what my old computer did, and I never get lockups no matter how many programs and browser tabs I have open. The download speed is about 300 Mbs, at the top of expected on WiFi for my internet service. Access speed overall is excellent. It's also very quiet!! Shipping was very quick and on schedule. I added a protection plan to protect my computer from me.
I upgraded the RAM to 32G just because I wanted to max it out - it's very tight inside the case and there's no room to add an extra drive, so I bought an external drive case for my newer 2TB SATA drive and it connected effortlessly. I love that I can listen to music and podcasts on my bluetooth earpiece while I'm working.
This is a very nice computer though I do wish it came in black. Besides all the storage & especially the media card reader, the dvd/writer was the main reason I purchased. Seems a lot of computer manufacturers are not installing them in their units. It should come with a Windows 11 for dummies because it is a whole different operating system compared to what I was using but if you keep plugging away at it, it will sink in. P.S. I still bought the book. .
