[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own two HP Pavilions. One works great. One is awful. I'm hesitant to rate the Pavilion after what I'm going thorugh. The comnputer freezes all the time. After working with HP techs we've narrowed the problem to the USB ports. We don't exactly know what is causing the problem with the ports: were they incorrectly installed? Were the USB drivers corrupted? This computer's twin works great with exactly the same set up. So yes, you should get an HP Pavilion. But get the good one!
My old system was closing in on ten years old and really slow now and this did exactly what I need. It has plenty of fast memory for the applications and data use most, then an additional drive for all my archived data, video and pictures. It also has a DVD read/writer for some of my old media when needed. Installation was quick and easy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced an older Pavilion (2009) with this Pavilion and am very pleased with the speed and performance of my new computer. It loads in under 30 seconds versus my old unit taking about 5 minutes. This is my 3rd Pavilion and hope it lasts as long as my previous units did.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and I'm happy I did. This is my 2nd desktop HP Pavillion and I probably won't buy anything other than HP in the future. It's a great value for the price.
After researching many different desktop models at HP and others to replace my 11yr old HP Pavilion I finally decided on the TP01-2255t. Received the pc and wireless keyboard & mouse quickly and all were simple to setup: pretty much plug-&-play. Compared to my old pc the new one is very fast booting and hi-speed performance (no surprises there allowing for 11yr tech advances). Transferring “stuff” from the old to the new was tedious (manually with thumb drive) but accomplished well. Footprint of new pc is smaller than old and front connections plentiful. Yes, the ‘silver’ front face is not as stylish as the black models (Envy) but the price was right for what I needed. Looking forward to the next eleven years!
I bought this about a month ago and glad that I did as it is much faster. Set up easy easy. I think maybe there is a safety feature on the wi-fi, not sure. only issue I am having is after CPU is idle and I go Back to it I get a NOT ON INTERNET pop up. I have to wait a few minutes and reconnect wi-fi. Happens all the time. so I would be giving a 5 star rating, but a little anoid by the drop in Wi-fi connection after I walk away and go back.
