This machine is great for making ice-cream-like frozen banana treats - ideal if you are avoiding milk and/or added sugar. You can add other frozen fruit, always with banana as the base. It takes a few tries to get the hang of it because the fruit needs to thaw just the right amount before adding to get the best results. There is always some left behind in the machine, so it's a race against time to dismantle it and retrieve the remaining product before it melts. Probably a good idea to make a big batch so that any wasted amount is relatively small. I think this is a great gift for anyone who is lactose intolerant and misses real ice cream!

This is very ironic that I received this today as I just packed up my Yonanas to sell. I was so excited when I ordered it, but I must admit that the excitement went away rather quickly after the first few times of using it. I think I prefer smoothies more, so this machine doesn't really benefit me.

I bought the Yonanas machine for myself. My husband also loves it. Over the holidays I purchased one for my daughter and one for my mother-in-law. My daughter has food restrictions and my mother-in -law is diabetic. They are both able to use them and enjoy a wonderful creamy dessert. My favorite is pineapple.
