I can't find enough great things to say about this wonderful Lego model train set! Growing up as a kid I had lots of wonderful memories making my Lego train town with the classic 9 volt electric system and so when I saw this I had that sense of childhood again! What I love so much is now our little girls can play and enjoy this one for countless years to come. From every step to the finished result is enjoyable. Unfortunately this model set is discontinued but if your lucky enough to find a sealed one, I highly recommend the light kit Lego offers for it. All in all I hope to see more great Lego model train sets to come!

The Set I Never Knew I’d Enjoy So Much

Bought the set for the kids to play with and deepen the obsession with Lego. As my son eagerly awaited the build to be completed I found myself actually enjoying the set way more than I thought I would. Such fun details throughout the set and with two train track expansion sets it becomes really fun to play with. My kids are completely enamored by it. Trains have officially become a series we will be on the lookout for.

The set was a goldilocks-level-challenge, not too hard, not too easy, for my 7 yo grandson to build in one day! He loves playing with something he built and loves using the tracks to build a new layout.

This is my second motorized set (the lighthouse was my first) and it is super fun. It took me about two hours to build the whole thing going at a slow pace (my cat likes to be very involved). None of the builds are too complicated so anyone over the age of ten could probably build it on their own. The train can go much faster than I was expecting which is very fun. My sister and our cats were very entertained watching it go around the loop. We plan to design some of our own train cars and then put the track around the bottom of our Xmas tree.
My only complaint is very minor. The overalls for one of the mini figure do not match very well between the top and bottom.

My kids love this train. It's has so many play features with the train cars. One of my favorite features is the jam and hazelnut spread. The kids loved it.

Why battery

Why did Lego stop making the electric trains. These go through batteries way to fast and that just helps makes land pollution worst with all the dead batteries. The electrics were much more eco friendlier. Think about the now Lego users future for clean land.
