I am a 75 year old LEGO builder and a LEGO VIP. One of my favorite movies is AVATAR. What struck me most about this kit is that the LEGO folks did an excellent job designing, decorating, and producing the AVATAR minifigs. The LEGO Folks did not try to "squish" the AVATAR figures into the size of a "normal" LEGO minifig. It is my opinion that the time, effort, and quality of the AVATAR minifigs contributes greatly to the overall quality of this LEGO kit. I look forward to receiving my next AVATAR kit: Tree of Souls, which will be arriving at my doorstep pretty soon.

A nice set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves this set as would any Lego and Avatar fan. This set has 560 so it's not too bad but still enough to be fun to put together. It comes with 2 mini-figures and you are able to build the suit and the thanator which is similar to a panther and a bit of the floral scene to make it feel like they are in their territory. It makes it feel more authentic. These are perfect for play or for setting up a display on a shelf. I really like how well done these are and highly recommend this set.

This is the first Avatar set my brother and I built on Christmas. I am of the opinion that it is one of the best LEGO sets on a budget to date! The overall build is gorgeous for the small scale! Thanator is very well done likewise the AMP Suit. The suit is displayable from all sides which is awe-inspiring! This is an example of many that disclose how gifted LEGO designers truly are! This Neytiri minifigure is my personal favourite! Colonel Quaritch is fantastic despite his misprint on the torso and lack of arm print. His expression is superb though! I have a critique regarding the stability of the rainforest build. Every time I pick up this segment, it breaks in half. Some of the plants from the left side detach extremely easily.

Great Lego Set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently got this Lego set and my 12 year old had a lot of fun piecing it together. It is a very detailed and accurate set, and took her a couple hours to put together. The instructions we very detailed with pictures and easy to follow. The characters do have a few moving parts that makes playing with them after set up enjoyable as well.

Overall decent set

I do like this set a lot, the few issues I have include, some of the floral pieces break off easily, the base doesn’t hold the Thanator the best so pose before placing it on the base. And the mech is fine overall but with some easily fixable inaccuracies. Also I know LEGO couldn’t add the massive machine gun for the mech but the giant saw blade thing I don’t remember seeing in the movie and it looks very out of place. Good set otherwise

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Neytiri & Thanator vs. AMP Suit Quaritch is pretty cool especially for older children obviously because there are smaller pieces of legos so not good for younger children. It's a fun experience for kids to do as a project!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh my goodness my son was so happy when he got this in the mail!! As soon as I opened the box he grabbed it an ripped it open and just started building it he was building for hours he was having so much fun and how doesn’t love legos
