Gingerbread & Legos

I had to buy this set for myself and my grandchildren because Legos and gingerbread are my two favorite Christmas things. Of all the sets I've purchased over 40 years I think this one is the only that failed my expectations. Love the cute designs on the bricks and the characters. Construction does hold together well for play value. The base requires an extra piece to fit the house and the fireplace but doesn't stay together during play. Structure is too tall for the base and tips easily. Christmas tree looks like it's missing a top star or something which would have bee nice. Even my 5 year old granddaughter who helped build it came up with ideas to add to it to make it "better and stronger."
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Please expand the Duplo Christmas Village

I was so excited to purchase this item so that my 4 year old grandson and toddler granddaughter could be distracted to stay away from my Christmas village collection. Its March and my granddaughter is still playing with this piece. My DIL who I think sometimes rolls her eyes at my LEGO habit, really enjoyed helping her children put this together. She might be starting to convert (keeps eying the botanicals) so I may soon have a fellow hobbyist.
Please please make additional Duplo Christmas Village type items. Even if my grandchildren outgrow them it makes my inner child heart happy to see these.

Fun product, good for beginners

I purchased this set for my grandchildren. It’s perfect for a 2 and 3 year old. It was the first set that my 3 year old granddaughter followed the directions and built the set, with some help from me. She enjoyed the Christmas theme and played/ role played with the characters,

Fun for with the family

Excellent Lego to build together with the kiddos! Easy instructions and fun size Lego pieces for younger children to learn how to build Lego sets. Our son loves coming home and seeing this set along with all of the other family Christmas decorations in the house. This is a MUST have set.

Needs a bigger base

My only critique is that the house needs a bigger base. Fortunately, we have a bagillion Duplo pieces, so I dug through our basket and found a 6x12 baseplate. Would have been nice if a white one had been included, instead of one of the 4x8’s.

Disappointing

I planned to use the pieces in this set in my 2 year old’s advent calendar. Unfortunately, the green window piece was not in any of the bags in the box. I have requested the missing piece but worry that it won’t be here in the next couple of weeks and he will have a useless set to add to each day and play with. This is the second brand new holiday set this week that had a piece missing. Lego needs to improve quality control!

Looking into it a bit, that piece isn't in one of the bags but a loose piece so hopefully you find it mixed in with the others so there's no more worry! Either way, we'll get the replacement to you as quickly as possible!
