Worth It!

So I wasn’t planning on building this set and had originally bought it as an investment set. But my basement got flooded and the box was sitting on the floor when it happened so I had no choice but to open it up and build it since water went inside the bags as well. This is my first motorized set and it was fairly easy to follow the instructions, but I would say that the part where the wires are have to be covered by a piece on the side of the light house and for some reason that piece does not fit as snuggly as it should as the wires get in the way. Maybe I am doing it wrong, but aside from that part the overall build was so fun! The time flew by so quickly and was such a stress reliever. The final product is top notch and beautiful!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I always enjoy reading the backstories included in the assembly booklet, but these were exceptional. This was one of my favorite builds and it looks great on display as well.

When I saw this set, I was obsessed. I couldn't justify the price at first, but after learning it's retiring at the end of 2025, I finally caved and bought it.
I was nervous after reading some reviews about missing pieces, motors not working, lego saying to "give the motor enough room" even though you're encasing them in plastic pieces that you can't adjust. But all of those were quickly squashed.
This is an incredibly fun build. I'm not sure how someone built it in 3 hours, I did about an hour and a half a day (working and all) for 4 days. Through the build, I'd verify that the lights still worked and the motor turned as I went so I wouldn't have to disassemble towards completion. This worked very well for me and I had no problems with the build.
If you love lighthouses, lego and intricate designs, you need to add this set to your collection before it retires.
Overall a very fun build that I highly recommend.

It’s a pretty good build! It took me around 3-4 days to complete, and I love the small details that really make the build. It’s not really great to play in, but great for display! Another little concern: it’s pretty flimsy, and a lot of the pieces jump out of place, and it takes 6 batteries! But it is pretty easy to change, so I definitely recommend if you like small little attention-to-detail builds for display and not play!

Very nice build

This was a very fun build to create. The end result was a beautiful piece of art that I could display nearly anywhere and it fit well. A few critics though would be to have highlighted borders around the pieces that are added in each step of the instructions. Trying to find where each piece was added to the build because a game of wheres Waldo at times especially when working with the base. Secondly, I feel like for the price of this set, a quieter motor could have been created and included in the set. When it's on its like listening to a powered pepper grinder. It's obnoxious to leave on and listen to for long periods.
