What a great build experience and quality product. This looks amazing after the build. I’m new to legos and this was the biggest project I’ve tackled. It took me about 10 hours total. Instructions are great! Only one callout, make sure to put six batteries in power pack. If not it will cause confusion when assembling motorized shaft for the light.

This is truly one of the best Lego sets of all time. I live on an island which makes me appreciate it all the more. It conveys the feel of a real lighthouse with lots of architectural detail and the right scale for the minifigures. The motorized light is really cool in a dark room, as is the warm glow from the interior of the light keeper's house. There are many special items to enjoy like the treasure cave and the detailed furnishings in the house. The price is a bit steep but I shudder to think what they will go for once Lego's production ends. So, if you like this kind of thing, I recommend you get it now. It is certainly destined to be a classic.

My son and I built this after Christmas, and what an absolutely charming set! It has amazing little details like the stove that lights up (and gives the keeper's cabin a warm glow) and the pirate cave with a chest full of treasure. What a fun build!
