Pale imitation of original IDEAs design

This set was the most highly anticipated yet from IDEAs. I was so sad when I saw the initial actual product announcement. The grace, elegance and soul of the original design has been snuffed out, leaving us with a "busy" and mediocre rendition missing the wit and essence so beautifully captured in Hsi's original design. I can only wonder about a decision process that would turn that LEGO piece of art into such commercial mediocrity. So uncharacteristic of LEGO corp. I am truly surprised. To me, this is one of those rarest of occurrences, an outright miss by the LEGO design team. I hope it is but a hiccup and not a harbinger of things to come.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a wonderful Lego set! The Jazz Quartet set is the perfect gift for someone who has everything and likes to use their mind. It perfect for a library and especially to use in a vacation home, the guest love it.

When I saw this online it looked great so I bought it. The build itself is not very complex. The problem lies in its durability. Each price is very flimsy and it doesn’t take much for something to fall off. The piano legs are very thin and if you try to move the piano the legs always fall off. The trumpet player stands on one leg and if you move the entire set the trumpet player typically falls. And lastly the stage itself is not held together well. It slides apart easily and makes it move complex to move as a whole set. It would be better if it fit snugly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

That's not how you feel the music! Many thanks for your feedback. If you've already double-checked your building, pressed all pieces tightly together and it still doesn't hold the way it should, we'd be happy to have a closer look at LEGO.build/Service-BV.

Not your typical review but I pointed out something on the website I didn’t like. For the Family reunion set how come you made Asians be able to play with they own toy but when u advertise the jazz set you got white people playing with our toy? Lego u better change that ad and fix it as I will continue to expose any more bigotry I find on the site.

Beautiful and classic set

The difficulty level was perfect and perfect for us. So happy to have it in our collection to display.
