This was a very fun build. The different ways used to create similar things keeps it from being redundant and also adds extra personality for the musicians.

Unique and Lovely Set

I hope Lego continues to make sets like this. Each part of the set was inspired and fun to build, the players are all unique and the instruments were surprisingly intricate in design. It makes a lovely countertop display once it's finished too, especially for someone who enjoys jazz.

I haven’t build a full LEGO set in a long time and I am very glad this was the set that I return from the hiatus. I was going to comment on each section of the set, but I realized they all shared the same qualities: amazing. Overall, it was really fun to build. The detail was phenomenal, especially with the piano. The piano was the biggest chunk of the sections and I breezed through the rest of the sections. You can tell the designer heavily referenced how an actual piano is built and works. There were also lots of unique pieces that I’ve never seen before and unique uses of pieces (e.g. game controller as a bow tie, lightsaber on the trumpet). The design overall was very smart + fun and I was impressed many times. The build felt pretty straightforward with some challenging moments where you couldn’t really tell what you were building for a long time but the payoff was great in the end. Building humans was also interesting because I had never done that. For the piano, there was a slight bit of repetition but that’s expected given that it’s a piano. There are a lot of small pieces so might need a break on the fingers.
Highly, highly recommend the piece, especially if you are a fan of jazz. Definitely worth the price.

First, you get a lot of pieces for the money. As opposed to any licensed product; especially the Star Wars builds. Easy to assemble. They cleverly made the people look alive. With the exception of the piano player. She looks like the robot from the movie Short Circuit. I know a professional drummer and he really liked the looks of the drummer and the setup they put for him.Makes for a classy look for the kid in this adult.
