This HP Windows 11 lap top was to replace my old HP Windows 10. The new HP lap top was very easy to set up and works very well

OK but a few glitches

A decent laptop for general home use at a reasonable price. Clear bright screen. The on/off button is not very positive. It is difficult to read the keys unless directly above them. The SD card and USB card slots are very tight. Several times I have received a message saying one of my disks is in danger and to take action to remedy it.
I thought it would be a similarly robust as the Pavilion, alas the main structure seems very flexible if you pick it up on one corner, the base twists and then this effects the display like you are using the mouse function. All made of plastic. I do miss having the actual function buttons at the bottom of the mouse pad.

Faulty?

Since my purchase 3 weeks ago, the laptop lately seems to freeze up on starting. The screen just goes totally black (blank), just after startup, and takes a good few minutes to recover the home page!
I am keeping an eye on the situation, but find it a worry…..
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Laptop works as expected but service support was pants

I bought this to upgrade a previous HP laptop that wasn’t windows 11 compatible. It worked fine until the first time I used the battery. When flat it would not charge, ran diagnostics which said battery was at fault. Tried to contact HP support which proved very difficult. I then tried rebooting and that seems to have fixed it. HP support took days to answer and then expected me to be sitting waiting for them to contact and closed the issue. Still don’t know if it is fixed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Opening your HP

I had this bought for me by my brother-in-law who is much more tech savvy than me, my previous laptop was 12/13 years old and getting very slow, it took me a while to adjust to slightly different keyboard functions, but I'm getting there slowly. My only gripe so far is opening the lid, it's such a perfect fit with my mechanics sausage fingers and short nails I wonder they didn't make a handle or bigger gap in one area.
